Hi, my name is Kayleigh Roth. I am a current junior at Virginia Tech; go Hokies! I am studying Communication with a minor in Event and Experience Management and a minor in Professional Sales, hoping to pursue a public relations or marketing-based career. I live with my parents and younger brother in Long Island, New York. I love the beach, traveling, music, concerts, and spending time with friends, especially at Virginia Tech football games.
Since childhood, I have loved writing, drawing, and using my imagination. Now, I am the friend who brings my digital camera everywhere to capture memories of my friends as we experience college together. I have always considered myself creative and wish to pursue a career that allows me to embrace my creativity. I enjoy graphic design, an interest that stemmed in high school when my friends and I joined forces to create a custom clothing brand, and I was tasked with running our social media platforms and website. During this time, I gained meaningful graphic design experience. While our business venture was short-lived, as we headed off to different colleges, I continued to use the skills I learned in my communication classes at Virginia Tech.
I have experience using various Adobe apps like InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, and Experience Manager. Additionally, I am proficient in Wordpress and DITA authoring employing Heretto. Since the summer of 2022, I have worked as an assistant office manager, gaining skills using Microsoft Excel, inventory control, and customer service.
